Enter a hex code or choose a factory paint and our tool converts both colors to the CIE-Lab color space, then ranks every wrap in the library by ΔE (Delta-E) - the industry-standard measure of perceptual color difference. Lower ΔE means a closer visual match.
What is a good ΔE (Delta-E) for a color match?+
A ΔE under 1 is imperceptible to the human eye, under 2 is a near-exact match, and under 5 is a close match that most clients accept. Finish (gloss, satin, matte) and lighting also affect how close two colors look in person.
